Power Point project
Today we will begin the mystery project. First we will have a discussion of Internet search methods. We will also discuss what web abbreviations stand for. You will want to take some notes as this information will be on the final exam. For your project you will select a topic from those given. You are to create a slide presentation that has at least seven slides. Each slide must have a title and a graphic. Slides two through six must have some kind of text that explains, like why are UFO's a mystery, or UFO's are real because... You will need to find two web sites for your project, one that supports your mystery and one that opposes your mystery. The ones that I have selected have sites that both support and oppose, so don't tell me you cannot find something. The idea is to think through your search methods, are you making the same search over and over or are you trying something different, like changing search engines or search terms. The information is there, so take the time to find it. You may not start your slide presentation until you have found information that supports and opposes your topic. And as you should know copying and pasting text is plagiarism, so you must show me some notes that you have made from the web sites. You may write these out or, use the computer to type out the notes. And search engines are not web sites! No copying and pasting, write in your own words! Next week we will begin presentations.
Slide two through six must have a Title, a graphic, and some text. Slide one must have a title, a graphic and your name. Each slide must have a background. I want you to use a blank layout for your slides. You will need to use word art and text boxes for
Slide one: Title slide that has the name of the Mystery, a graphic, and your Name.
Slide two: Must have an explanation of the mystery
