Computer works worksheet, complete and turn in. The key to being successful on todays assignment is understanding how to convert from base two to base 10 and to convert from base 10 to base two. Converting base two to base 10 requires you to add. Converting base 10 to base two requires you to divide. Base two place value doubles to each place, so 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 and so on. So the base two number 101 would be 5 in base 10. You only add place value for all the one's, zero's have no value. 101 would be 1+4=5. Changing to base two you would divide 5 by the highest place value. That would be 4. 4 goes in one time, with one left over. 2 will not go into 1 so you must place a zero in the answer. Finally one will go into 1, one time leaving you with 101
